Spring is here! Time to get busy and start training Heike and Ana. I have been slacking off with them. I haven’t even taken pictures of my two little beauties, both are getting nicer everyday, and surprisingly both have grown into those giant ears they had. I was so use to their ears that now they almost seem too small.
In the middle of the last snowstorm in Northern Germany I just had to go visit. The purpose of the trip was to collect Kayla from her stay with Margaret where she earned her: BH, AD, KKL, SchH1, and scH2 titles. The day after I left for my whirlwind trip to Deutschland, Maika came into season. Five days after coming home with Kayla, Kayla comes into season and another 5 days later, Kira decides to join the party, also coming in season. All making it very unlikely for me to pull off breeding to a dog in Germany. Fortunately, I have several hunky males lined-up for the girls Stateside! Both Maika and Kira had started to cycle in January and both stopped, having what is called a split season. From my conversations with other breeders this was a very common occurrence this year. I am happy they are finally getting on with it!
What has Margot been up to???
Woman, 53, Uses Martial Arts To Nab Alleged Burglar
While I can picture Margot iin this scenario, this is really what she has been up to:
Geez, Julie, after 2 years and moving from Florida to Michigan, I thought I had left my heroic past behind. By the way, the numbers of my age have been transposed.
You certainly are going to have a busy, fertile Spring! Although Garbo has already come into heat, Gracie has not. I am theorizing that the Florida heat and sun must age, er, mature, living creatures earlier. What do you think about that, Carole?
Must be the females all had the same idea….Bailey has been in season as well…..
Way to go Margot! I love the picture of Gracie with “platypus lips”…..wish my camera was fast enough to get those shots….or maybe its the operator?!? The pots were lovely as well…they remind me of rustic North Carolina “salt” pottery.
@Margot Who knew you were such an a** kicker!! I love it!! Your pics are great, too!
Awesome Job! You never know when your skills are going to come into play.
Julie if your schedule was a little dull it just filled up! Hope you have oyur running shoes on!
Margot, reporting is just not as accurate as it use to be, yes Margot’s age, as reported, is transposed.
“I am theorizing that the Florida heat and sun must age, er, mature, living creatures earlier. What do you think about that, Carole?”
Yes, that is EXACTLY what happened to me. I am only 25 and look older than Julie! 😉
Margot, if you can chase a bad guy for six or seven blocks, I am hiring you to handle my dogs. How are you at riding a bike for 12 miles?
Margot, I love your blog! Great job!!!
Thanks, everyone, for all the much appreciated lovely comments. Not a problem, Carole, about 12 mile biking. Just remember, I am married to the farm so it will have to be mountain biking right here. The trails are cut and ready.
HA, Margot! Your trails are cut and ready and so are your Killer Bees!!!
OK, if the killer bees are after me, they won’t give up at 12 miles, so I guess I could be biking around the farm for a long, long time!! @Carole
