I am so happy to see Gracie — she looks great! I confess I was wondering if everything was okay as I hadn’t seen her or any other wonderful Margot pictures in quite some time. I thought this was a ‘quiet time’ on the farm? Or is there no such thing? Thanks for the beautiful post!

Brrrrrrr! Gracie, you need to get together with Felix for your trip to Florida!

Margot, Gracie is absolutely beautiful! I think she looks a lot like her niece Lindi, don’t you? It seems like she’s big enough to play too 🙂

Wow, what a beautiful girl! I am amazed at how much Gracie and her littermates look alike! Felix has that same expression. Funny and XBox should be quite proud ( Julie too) of this litter. If she is anything like Felix, I bet Gracie is also a very sweet girl. Hard to believe they are 7 months old now!

Thanks, everyone, for all the lovely words of praise for Miss Gracie. As part of her continuing education, she is beginning her second agility class and fourth obedience class this month. She is the Will Rogers of the dog world, having never met a dog or person that she didn’t like. I love her playful, easy-going nature and, sometimes, I swear she looks at me, and communicates so successfully, that I feel like we had a spoken conversation. Gracie is my fourth perfect dog from Julie, and I do not know how one can improve on perfection, but Julie manages to do it every time. Kudos to you, Julie!

Hi, Carole, All my recent boarding customers who picked Florida as their vacation destination, have returned pale and disgruntled, mumbling about low temps and no sun. I’ll take a raincheck on your kind invitation until your Florida weather starts behaving like it’s supposed to. What’s gorgeous Garbo up to these days?

Margot— Thank you for your generous compliments. But the breeding and genetics is only part of the equation. Your dogs are perfect because you know how to raise them to be great dogs! Someone can start with the best puppy in the world and turn it into a disaster. I have said it many times the dog you end up with is a 100% the result of genetics AND 100% the result of nurturing. Can not separate the two.
