I am raising a Leader Dog puppy that you bred. We named her Opel and she is a beauty. I’ve attached a couple of pictures so you can see how she is doing. I looked at your blog and discovered that Opel’s dad is in Bad Neustadt. It is a small world because my daughter has been on an exchange program between her school (Rochester Adams) and the school in Bad Neustadt. She spent three weeks there a couple of years ago. My son may be going next year.
Opel is our fifth LD (Leader Dog) puppy, but the first GSD. We are working with her on all the typical puppy behavior. She is so smart and a fast learner. Yesterday she was at a Cross Country meet and the farm at Kensington Metropark, today she was at church and a soccer game. She would looove to chase those soccer balls, but that is a big no-no in the LD world.
My husband, Rick, and I have three children – Beth (19), Cameron (16), and Andrew (13). So Opel is being raised around a lot of activity. My daughter noticed that Opel gets a lot of attention from men relative to the labs and goldens we have raised!
Thank you for such a wonderful puppy.
Janet
Opel is: Digger vom Elzmundungsraum x Maikali vom Kirschental
Janet,it is great to hear a report on another Future Leader dog! Please send photos when you can.
@Carole, Carole, thanks for your comment. I forgot to include the pictures
Great, happy photos! Best wishes to Opel and family—thank you for giving back to the community.
She is so beautiful. We have often wondered where Brady’s sister was and how she was doing. She was always such a lover when we visited. Thanks for sharing her with us and keep us posted. Enjoy!
I agree with Michelle; she is so beautiful! I love the name Opel also.
What a great update!
Awsome update!! I sold a home to a blind client last year and she has had guide dogs for the last 15 years. She told me the dogs have changed her life. What a kind and generous service you’re providing 🙂 Rita
