Well, Roman turned 4 months old Monday and had a trip to the vet today for his last set of shots. He weighed in at 50 lbs, 2 oz! His teeth are all poping in at the same time, so his gums are all swollen. The vet said he has a beautiful coat, great bone structure, remarkable colors, and even gave her compliments to the breeder… thanks Julie!

The vet said that at 4 months, GSDs are about half the weight that they will eventually end up at… so prolly around a buck. Julie would know better I think?

Chris, my Gia (Roman’s sister) also just finished up with shots and weighed in at 43.8 lbs. I was shocked as she was only 33lbs 3 weeks ago. She too was showered with compliments – such as beautiful and gorgeous. She too is getting new teeth like crazy. I think we got ourselves a couple of winners. Roman looks great!

ps – that rule of thumb did not ring true with my male Chief, who was huge at that age, but ended up a respectable 84 lbs. I wouldn’t worry about Roman being huge or anything.

I am thinking 90-95 pounds. Very handsome photo! I love the compliments!
