Yep, the Fountain of Youth. Why do you think I look so good with being over 100? I am only showing you one side of the spring. The other side is a large pool with a zillion people in it. The actual spring is inside the pool. The pool is protected so that gators and such can not enter. This is the overflow from the spring—a few thousand gallons per minute. It flows into Lake Woodruff and the St. John’s River.
Spanish Sugar Mill now a restaurant where you cook your own breakfast on a griddle.
FYI for my fishing buddies: The water here is so clear that when the bass are bedding, you can see their giant nests.
Carole the water pictures look so REFRESHING!! I’m ready to jump in.!! My pool cleaner man saw the temperature of my pool and it read 108 degrees. I love all your nature pictures !! but I think I will pass on the Gator ones .
Carole it looks so pretty there! What is the temperature of the water? Mmm that restaurant sounds yummy! BTW, we had a wonderful time in Austria/Germany; thanks for asking! I am jealous of the way people can take their dogs everywhere there (to work, at the mall, on busy streets – most are not on leashes and they are so well behaved!). Joe took lots of great pictures; he will post them soon!
The water temperature of the spring is 72 degrees, all year long. For me, that is a little too chilly, but most people seem to enjoy it.
I am glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. Can’t wait to see your photos.
Best wishes to you this weekend! Don’t forget—when you are at the end of that lead, YOU are in charge! 😉
Beautiful!
