Never realized how fuzzy these things are.

Never realized how fuzzy these things are.

Playing with the new macro lens in the back yard and starting to get used to it. The shot is set up with our black grill cover hanging behind the plant and a water spray bottle for the droplets. Techniques i learned from “The Digital Photography Book” by Scott Kelby, a great resource.

Way to go Chris! Excellent!
Strangers have a habit of stealing 24kPhotos, so you might want to consider signing your photos before putting them on the blog.

@Carole, Thanks for the heads-up. I’ll look into the process.

Cool! Water drops are kind of my thing but it’s been forever since I last tried.

Yes Chris, start putting your signature on the photos if it would bother you to have them taken and used elsewhere. I should be doing it on all my dog and puppy pictures because we have found the pictures on other breeders websites used to represent their dogs or puppies.

AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED, apparently its a great portrait lens as well. Need to try and see, also need to get an extension tube so I can get really close in. I shot this in Dx mode, so essentially i was using a 1.4x crop/digital zoom. @Julie

Chris you’ve inspired me! I took my camera to work (b/c there’s tons of great landscaping and a wildflower area) but I’m not sure if it will happen today. Have to go fix the college president’s computer and then have an impromptu Dr. appt.
