My camera was not happy with me this morning. This is the first time I have taken the DSLR to the ocean—on some of these I pushed the limits on the glare from the low sun, mixed with darkness. The orange and red you see are the true colors.
Hey! How did a kid get in here?! Get out of the way, kid—you’re blocking the view.
Lies, this last one is for your brother! Those little dots on the beach are Sandfleas! The sandfleas are so heavy in the surf that you don’t even need a rake to catch them. For those of you who do not fish—an abundance of sandfleas in the surf = Pompano, Redfish, Seatrout, Flounder, etc., very close by.
Is my other perfect man finished with school for the summer? Send him down and we’ll go fishing!
Great, fabulous and gorgeous color and composition, Carole! Each scene is so enchanting and has a unique surrealistic beauty. I want to be there and so does surfer dude Vida. Is the ocean safe for him? I can’t believe Kayla wasn’t in any of these pics. Are sand fleas like regular fleas but with tiny floaties on their legs? I would like these photos to fill my 24″ mac so I could gaze at them in the size they deserve to be.
The ocean is not safe for Kayla & the Surfer Dude—too many sharks. At this time of year, the sharks are in very close to have their pups. Most of our beaches will not allow dogs, but I know that Kayla would love it.
The kid shot is the best one! I love them all! The surf with foam is really cool!
I was happy when he showed up. I was getting bored with just surf shots. He was such a cute little kid—his mother drug him off too quickly!
Very nice!!! You must come down for a visit and shoot sunset photos, completely different beach. JH
