I have been trying to get a photo of this raccoon for quite some time—almost as long as I have been trying to trap it for its ride across the river.
This might be the reason that I haven’t caught the raccoon:
Sally decided this would be a good place for a nap!
This was yesterday’s storm moving in—has nothing to do with the raccoon, but I thought you’d like the cloud formation.
Cats pick the strangest places to nap! The raccoon is a cute little bugger but I can understand why you don’t want him hanging about.
The raccoons are very cute, but they eat more cat food than the cats!
We have the same issue on the farm with skunks. My mother swears the darn things line up for breakfast right along with the cats.
In that case, I consider myself very fortunate that I only have raccoons!
Oh, Carole, this raccoon has a great sense of humor. First, he gives you the boot with his hind paw and, then, he waves at you and sez, “See ya ’round, sucker!”
I have caught many house cats in my live traps and never knew why they would be so dumb as to get caught but, after seeing your resting kitty, I guess they might think it is a cozy resting place,( that is until the door falls and traps ’em!)
How can you not laugh at these pictures? This guy is pretty entertaining with his wave with the hind paw and then the front paw.
