Carole, I LOVE the photos! We are doing some work on the backyard – I’m going to put in some flowers and bushes that I hope will attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
And yes…before and after pictures will be posted here.
Now that was funny! I guess I should have titled this, “Eye Test for Alta-Tollhaus Family!”
That is probably why I’ve not had a comment from Julie. She looked and said, “What’s the big deal? I can see those aloe blossoms just fine!”
Sorry that the photos are so dark, it was towards evening when these were taken. Now I know for certain that old folks like Judy will never see the bird! 🙂
yep took me a couple to see the little fellow too.

Took me to the second photo before I saw the little fellow. Very nice…I may need a baby from your aloe. Rudi 🙂 (I’m smiling) has pretty much destroyed ours. Perhaps when rainy season returns a baby might pop up. JH
Oh come on people! You have a half-blind person taking photos of a fast moving bird that is the size of my thumb—on a day that was very dark! Is Jaime the only person in this family who has young eyes? 🙂
JH—you are more than welcome to some aloe. We have plenty to spare. Hey, do you know if this stuff would survive in MI? Probably not, but I don’t know.

Thank you, Jaime. I’ll look forward to seeing your project!
That will be fun to see! I need landscaping help, so seeing what you do might inspire me.
Well shoot, maybe I need glasses. I didn’t see the bird until the fourth picture.

I need some aloe too…my dogs also ate it…in fact maybe it was Rudi before he left?
I will bring some with me! Send me an e-mail on how to prepare it so that it survives a trip to the Sieger show.
I didn’t realize aloe would grow in Michigan. Sorry Julie, I’m sure it must have been Rudi. Perhaps that’s why his coat is so soft.
To travel, I’d just pull up a baby and wrap it’s little bottom in some “wet” paper towels. Julie H
