You’re good, Carole. Only a real pro can turn day into night!
Wow! Are they taken in your backyard? Do you have a tripod set up permanently in position, just in case, or was it a severe case of “in the right place at the right time?” I understand your frustration with settings. I’m trying to get used to the Canon 5D II and am up to my ears in frustration!
Yes, this is my backyard. The deer are standing at the very edge of our woods, in the shadows, of course.
Andrea, I have found that my DSLR works best when I don’t use any of the automatic settings. These are all hand-held shots with a heavy telephoto lens—another part of my frustration.

Margot, only someone as kind and polite as you could put a positive spin on these photos!
LOL Oh Margot you are so precious!!!

Haha, an animal more butt-high than my Coke!
DUH…. the wide ear-set is due to the double handler not doing their job.
Ha! Good response, Julie! You are a true show person—blame it on the double handler!
