My much loved spunky Chevy girl is not a dog who cares for many dogs outside her pack, but she gets positively giddy and silly when her buddy Bauer comes for a visit. She just sparkles when her boyfriend is here.
I’m sorry there are no photos to illustrate this next bit of news but too much was going on to even think of bringing a camera with me. I started teaching a new puppy kindergarten class this morning and was delighted to see Lindi arrive with Karen and Leah. Wow! Lindi is so beautiful and her intelligence shines, too. I look forward to watching this sweet Alli puppy grow and mature. Oh, the other part of the team, Karen and Leah, did a great job, too!
Margot, you are a woman of multi-talented skills! What do you mean you could not take pix and teach a new puppy class? We’ve missed out on a Lindi Sighting?!!
I guess you’ve made up for it with your wonderful Chevy photos. The willow tree photo needs to be in a magazine! Excellent shots of Chevy and Bauer. Thank you for sharing.
What wonderful pictures and Great expressions you have captured. I only wish I could take pictures like some of you, your great photographers, but I enjoy all the pictures from everyone.
Hi, Sabree’s mom and dad,
I always like your photos of Sabree and thanks for the lovely compliments.
3 easy tips for great dog photos:
– Decide what the main subject is in the photo and get in as close as you can to that one subject, eliminating all unnecessary background clutter.
-always focus on the eyes. They must be sharp and in focus. They really are the window to the soul.
-train kindly and carefully for basic obedience skills like watch, stay, sit, down and stand. This lets you pose your dog by yourself, walk away, and still get a great picture.
These tips can work equally well for a point and shoot rookie or a DSLR pro photographer.
Excellent advice, Margot!
Carole, I am giving you an award as the top Alta-Tollhaus cheerleader and all-around kind, generous and just plain nice human being. You inspire me. Thanks for your compliments.
Thank you, Margot!
Carole and Margot are tied for the award!
Everybody does take EXCELLENT photos!! If my mother was not around you would not see any pictures of Tasha. I don’t even own a camera. I sure do ENJOY this site!!!
Margot what a beautiful job capturing Chevy’s expressions! Her coat looks so good. do you have any coat-growing secrets?
Bauer looks very handsome, I can see why Chevy gets all a flutter around him.
Great pix of Chevy, Margot – (and great tips also) – I love the goofin’ one – what personality! Besides, haven’t we all been fools for love somewhere along the line?
I didn’t realize Bauer had reached official “boyfriend” status. Last visit he was after all the ladies…..
Hi, Kim, Thanks for the lovely praise and cute comments. Chevy doesn’t exactly know that Bauer is still very pragmatic about his girlfriends. He basically loves the one he’s with when he’s with them. She is busy doing other things when he flirts with the rest of the girls so she doesn’t see how disloyal he is to her. I don’t want her to get her heart broken cuz hell hath no fury like a Chevy scorned! She would probably be so mad that she would beat him up and then all his girlfriends, too!
