A couple of weekends ago, I had posted some photos of my birds. I was having problems with the focus—the pix were not as sharp as I liked them to be—shooting in automatic mode. Today, my neighbors graciously posed for some pix while I played with some of my settings. These are straight from the camera—no photoshop.

Wow, Carole, you sure do have a neat variety of “neighbors”, don’t you? The first cow has two cute flip curls on either side of her forehead – she is very pretty. The cows are so clean and contented- looking. What is their breed?

All this and you live by the ocean, too! Are you a Florida native or a happy transplant?

The cows are Brahman and/or Brahman-cross. Brahman cattle are not known to be the friendliest bunch in town—these girls were quite cooperative.

Margot, I moved here from CA.

Thank you! Yep, I love my neighbors. The calves were quite curious about me—I think I am their first human to be seen so close. “Big Red” seriously considering smashing me—guess there is a reason that her horns have been trimmed.

The calves really are adorable! They took turns nursing from which ever momma happened to be standing at the time. If you happen to believe in reincarnation, do not ever wish to come back as a cow—OUCH!!!

Coming back as a cow is not high on my list.

The first one makes me think of “Norma” from the movie City Slickers :~) Coming back … not sure I would want to, but if I did … I’d come back as … ME – that would freak everyone out!

Should have said “Norman” … not “Norma”!

It’s OK, Judy—we all know that you’re old and get your Norma/Normans confused. As for the coming back part…we would expect nothing less than you coming back as yourself! 🙂

Oh, Carole, getting together with you and Ms Julie will be more fun than even we can imagine :~)

Judy, we’d better plan this get-together soon. Julie is so old that she forgets who I am at times. Let me know when you are coming to town and I will come up for a visit.
