There is a writer on ESPN.com that I regularly read; he has the kind of dry humour that is right up my ally and speaks his mind as much as he can.  Anyway, I went to see if there were any new articles today, usually new articles are posted on Fridays, and there was a new one.  However, it wasn’t they type of article I was expecting but I thought it was very well written and wanted to share it with those who might find it interesting.  It is his story about his family dog.  Anyway, if you have a few mineutes I recommend it.

That was a touching, heartfelt story. You should have warned us to have the kleenex ready.

Joe that was excellent, thank you so much for sharing this piece.

The author, Bill Simmon’s got it right:

I don’t know how dogs know, but they know. Dogs always know.

Dogs always know….

Well, now I’m all teary-eyed. That was a beautiful story about a situation that we all have found ourselves in.

No matter how long they are with us, it is just never long enough.
