So Bailey started her first week of puppy class and she did really well. This week Brittany and I have been working on our puppy class “homework”, trying to dodge Bailey’s teeth, and have a good time in the fall weather.
Working on recall…..Bad Cuz helped with this fun game…..
Working the “sit”…. Notice the combination of green ear and rabid, food motivated look in her eyes…..
First time working the stack….her tail would not cooperate….(any suggestions on improvement welcome)
Time for some organic pumpkin fun…..she loved the “built in stick”….
OK…..so she reached the end of the “stick”….what does she do with it now….??
…she becomes a professional pumpkin carver, flips it over, and attacks it’s weak spot!!!!
“Look what a good job I did Mom!”
After such an eventful knawing afternoon we spent the late afternoon learning about…..SNOW. Here is what Bailey thought about SNOW….maybe she will be impressed when we get more for her to play in….
Here is her Dad…..whom she hasn’t met yet…..can’t wait til June……
Hi, Kelly and Brittany, Nice stack , Bailey is looking good! Brave, handsome husband – God bless him!
Good job with Bailey! She is just too cute.
After you have Bailey stacked the way you want, the last thing to do is run your hand down her topline, when you get to the tail, you hand should be palm up, and you follow through to the end of the tail…putting the tail into proper position. It needs to be done all in one swoop. You can’t just take ahold of the tail and put it where you want…they’ll move it back.
Once Bailey is used to you “placing the tail”, she’ll start to do it naturally. Or you might just need to give it a little help. Eventually all that will be required will be palm-down and your hand just gently glides down the underside of the tail.
Bailey’s pumpkin carving skills are amazing. Love seeing the picture of Craig.
Love Bailey’s pumpkin pix! Best of luck with the teeth and puppy class. Her razor sharp, killer puppy teeth will eventually be replaced by very large, beautiful pearly whites. Until then, beware of the teeth. 🙂 Julie H
