If you are living in an area where Leptospirosis (lepto) is prevelent (Michigan!), remember to get your dog vaccinated with the 4-way Lepto vaccine.
Ft. Dodge was the first company to come out with the vaccine for the new-deadly strains of Lepto -grippotyphosa and pomona. Be sure to update your dog with this vaccine but avoid the vaccine that has more then Lepto unless your dog is actually due for re-vaccination of DA2PPV. From the reading I have done the effectiveness of the Lepto vaccine may only last 6 – 8 months. With this in mind you should consider vaccinated now and again around September.
