I promise this will be my last post for a bit!
Steve is now in a three-week board and train at Valor K9 in Spokane. I am hoping this will get him to the next level of his obedience work a bit faster. But I really miss the fluffy little guy 🙁
Anyhow, I am very excited for him and wanted to share some photos. There is also a video of him on a treadmill on their fb page: https://www.facebook.com/valork9academy
On a side note, I am starting to look into getting a treadmill for the dogs. What brands do people here have or recommend? (that aren’t ridiculously expensive)

Julie,
I’m no help as far as a doggie tread mill. Sorry 🙁 I bike ride with Qwendi as one form of conditioning. Do you own a human treadmill? If so, I’m sure it would be an option for Steve-O.
Three weeks away from your Steve-O must be super difficult. He’ll be back home soon…with lots of new things to show you.
Terri and Qwendi
Of course I do!
If I had seen this before I purchased one, this is what I would have bought:
http://www.grandcarpetmill.com/bigdog.htm Dog powered, not electric!
This is what I have:
http://www.dogpacer.com/store/index.php/dogpacer-lf-3-1-dog-pacer-treadmill.html
If you go with the dogpacer, check around as prices vary – some will include free shipping, others will kill you on shipping. Just make certain you get the larger, LF3.1 model.
Umm that first one looks really creepy! Maybe if I find a picture of a dog on it I will be reassured. The second one, that you bought, looks much better!! I know what I’ll be researching this week 🙂
I have the jog-a-dog, if I had to do over again I would get the dog carpet mill tread mill. Safer, cheaper, take up less room.
Gotta love that face/head on Steve, wow!
