Auntie Carole came to visit me today. Of course, I did the usual cute poses that all Alta-Tollhaus pups do.

But then I found something much more entertaining. Hey, what’s down there? Could it be WATER?!!!

Hot diggity! It is water. Look—I can swim!

Eh oh….Dad pulled me out of the pond and I got his pants wet.

I keep hearing no, No, NO—but my brain is saying yes, Yes, YES!!!!

Look! I can see my reflection. I sure am pretty!

Rats! Let a girl take a little swim and this is how they treat me…

That’s OK. Wait until next time…

☑ Mouth open.
☑ Pouncing.
☑ Running.
☑ Determined to get wet.
☑ Determined to have one’s own way.
☑ Determined. Period.

Yep. Julie bred this puppy. The only thing missing is something in the mouth of Prada / Sydney.

Determined but not stubborn—she’s very easy to work with.

I agree with Tif. I love the stories, what child wouldn’t also! She is gorgeous and looks like she knows how to have a good time, but needs to work on her timing a little more. When she figures out the timing I am sure she will get a swim in sooner or later. LOL
Enjoy

She was so funny! The water became a giant magnet just pulling her in. Once Sydney was in the water, she was just content to stand there. If she had seen the water birds that were there earlier, it might have been a different story. I laughed at her antics and kept taking pictures. However, since I was the only one “dressed” for pulling a dog out of a pond, it would have been polite if I had offered to get her. But then we wouldn’t have these pictures, would we? 😉

I can’t wait for the weather here in Michigan to get warm enough so we have lakes not ponds of ice. I am sure that Gryph will love the water, he adores the snow! What a beauty this baby is.

LOL, Robert was a real sport about getting wet … was that 2 or 3 times?? No question, these pics are a treasure!!! I have a funny feeling, just call it my gut, but I think there could be more water in our future:) Sydney-Prada fell in love with Auntie Carole, and I just wish I had taken a video of Carole working with her. We all had a great time!! What a wonderful and fun puppy, we could not love her more!!

Barb, you and Robert are excellent dog parents—you both are very intuitive and take instructions well. Sydney will do great with you. Now go buy a pair of waders!
