Fama and David Visits Michigan
David and Fama can get away for a visit sometime in the next couple of weeks. He would like to meet as many of you as possible and I am sure you would like to meet him and the (in)famous Fama!
Please let me know when you are available in the next few weeks so we can schedule his visit when most of you are available or let me know when you are planning on training in the next couple of weeks. Perhaps we could have Gustavo do a private Alta-Tollhaus training session?
Jack and Lynda will be in town (Marshall) on May 30th if you would like to visit with them. We will probably go to Gustavo’s for part of the day.
Make a comment or email me privately.

Finish line greeting!

This morning I ran in the Cleveland Marathon…I’m not that crazy, so I ran the half. Chris came down to meet me at the finish and brought my favorite training buddy! There were 20,000 that ran today in addition to tons of spectators and Roman was on his best behavior. We received the usual “he’s gorgeous” “he’s so big” compliments, but my favorite were “he’s sooo well behaved”. He truly is fantastic in huge crowds and I know it’s because he’s got an amazing temperament, as well as coming to many of my runs. He finished my bottle of water and my popsicle, received many pats and headed home. Later today, we’re going to our city’s annual Bark and Bone-anza festival with bff, Nina!
Playing Hooky
We missed Carole’s BootCamp on Saturday to attend a 5 mile charity walk for the Wounded Warrior Project. Its our favorite charity and proceeds go to assisting soldiers with wounds and disabilities and their families when they return from overseas.
Grizzly was the hit of the day –people coming over to comment how great looking they thought he was, complement us on his temperament, and share with us childhood memories of their GSDs. He did really well on the walk – it was a perfect 75 degrees all morning and between that and some belly water sprays along the course, he had plenty of energy left at the end.
His ego does get in the way sometimes– you can see below: “Hey you two get out of the way, I need to be out front for the pic!” — Michelle’s profile suffered a bit for the photo, but you get the idea.
