Dog experts are everywhere!
Have you ever noticed that once you have a puppy every single person you know (or don’t know) is a professional dog trainer?

What do I get for standing perfectly and looking pretty?

Crazy ears

Alta-Tollhaus Veri V-litter Rocco x Cadence
Charlene working on getting Veri to sit-up on her haunches …like the Keeshound is doing in the background of the first picture.

V-litter (Rocco von Mittelwest x Alta-Tollhaus Cadence) doing platform work. The idea is they plant their front feet on the raised surface and to get them to rotate in either direction by moving their rear feet. This exercise helps them learn rear-end coordination and 3 main positions directly in front of you – for the recall; to your left, heeling and basic position; and right side (just like heel position) for agility work

A wild crazy German Shepherd dog puppy, named Veri, knocks woman to the ground and attempts to lick the face off the woman. The woman, who goes by Charlene, was not injured.

I did not remember how much stuff a puppy needed – kind of like a new baby. I have stuff all over the house that was not there less than one week ago. I really do not like the mess but I keep buying more dog stuff anyway, so I am a contradiction.
Kim Yager who is a dog trainer came and temperament tested Oso. Kim said that Oso was very well balanced and could do any type of training we wanted him to do. One test was tossing a chain into a metal dish. Oso rushed to the dish to check it out. Kim said most puppies would startle first then check it out so she was impressed with Oso. In a week or so we are going to start formal training with her. Dan and I both like Kim. She is quite an interesting woman who trains police dogs.
