Canis Woofus Family

Here’s some pictures of Schumi at 13 weeks.  I think he’s starting to rival Chopper as the most photographed dog ever!  He is growing like a weed; last Friday at the vet he weighed 30 pounds.  He’s starting to get more and more of his big boy fur and it looks very handsome.

This is his new favorite tug toy, although sometimes he trips over it because it’s too long and I have to grab both ends.  He has a great tug!

I don’t know what he’s running after here but it’s probably a bug.  I think chasing/eating bugs is pretty much his favorite thing to do!

I called “tug” and he’s running after me to get his toy.  I love how energetically he runs!

This never fails.  He is posing super cute and then decides to go and get the camera instead.  Oh well.  I love this picture so it’s ok!  It’s a good thing Joe snaps the pictures so fast!  He’s the one I dedicate that job to.

He doesn’t give up.  When he gets tired he’ll just lay down; you can drag him along the ground and he STILL won’t let go.

Kira’s Markus-vom-Status-Quo babies are here.
A beautiful litter of 6 girls and 4 boys! Kira is a great mother and an easy whelper.  This was a big litter and all the pups were good size ranging from 16 ounces to 21 ounces. The age of the puppies in these pictures range from only minutes old to the first born at 8 hours-old.

A BIG congratulations to Kim LaSerra and her handsome GSD Bogey on completing their AKC Novice Agility-Jumpers title. The last two qualifying legs were first place wins.  The 1st leg might have been also?

Bogey is now:   Alta-Tollhaus In the Rough NA, NAJ, CGC, CL2

Litter brother, Lance,  also did well earning a1st place win and a qualifying leg in the Novice Agility class.  This was Lance’s AKC agility debut, but old-stuff for his owner Laura Green.

Lance’s full name and titles are (if I have everything):   U-CH Alta-Tollhaus Par Four CSL1-H, CSL1-S, CSL1-F, mHIC, AKC Tracking Certified

Marcia Caven and her GSD Navarre making their agility debut. I took these pictures of their first qualifying run! I had to lighten the heck out of them so you could see Navarre. Navarre was bred by Lisa Clark. The agility trial was held at Northfield Dog Training in Ann Arbor.

For those of you who don’t know, Becky and I are taking puppy class with Julie, which we love.  We weren’t thinking of doing it at first, long drive, but are very happy we have.  Anyway, we have had three classes so far and we have been doing our best to keep up with the homework.  I missed one class but Becky was able to go by herself.  We continue to be impressed with Schumi’s progress and how well he demonstrates in class; it seems he does better in class than at home at times.  Anyway, I couldn’t find the exercise that is being shown in the picture below in any of the handouts that Julie has given us.  Must have been a class only excercise that was done in the class I missed.  It seems Schumi and Becky have it down though.  Sorry for the slight out of focus, I was trying my hardest not to disturb the training session.
