Saturday morning a few of us met at Julie’s for some show training. Julie showed us a video about structure and movement, and then we went to her outdoor ring where she made us run laps! Nick was learning to double handle Maika and run her off leash, Joe and Becky were learning to double Schumi, and I….don’t have a dog to show so I was the “handler” running either dog around in circles.

Me pretending I know what I’m doing. This pup is so wiggly! He sure likes his mom and dad! He must’ve stood still for .2 seconds to get this pic. He’s such a fun puppy. Looks like VP1 to me, hehe!

Maika was so laid back and content, meanwhile Schumi just wanted to sprint. So, we passed her.

I already posted my puppy picks earlier. After we left Julie’s I had to work at my club’s table at the Animal Festival in Grand Rapids.

Schutzhund TWO!

Maika has earned her Schutzhund 2 title! Here is a snapshot I took of her in June –totaly out of coat and needing a good brushing—with Wolfgang Gehre. Wolfgang’s daughter, Andrea has been the one that has been training Maika. Late July Maika was bred to “Naxos Holtkämper See”. Shortly Maika will be shown in her first conformation show, handled by Karl-Heinz and doubled by Andrea. Thank you Marion for arranging this. Then, finally, she will be coming home, hopefully pregnant with super-star puppies.
