From Detroit to Harwich
Ford Motor Corp is introducing a new Police vehicle to replace the old standby Crown Victoria. They have a marked demo car that has been traveling to different Police Departments. This past weekend the new “Interceptor” Demo car was at the Harwich Police Department. Officers were given the opportunity to take it for a test drive.

Thank you A-T Family
We are truly moved by your heartfelt showing of love and condolences for the loss of our beloved Ivan. It is an honor to be associated with such an outstanding group of very caring people.
We will always be comforted by the knowledge that Ivan touched so many in his too short life. We loved him so much and know that he loved us. Ivan will forever be a part of us.
Please give your dogs and loved ones an extra special hug from Ivan and us. It is almost too much to comprehend that this will be the last post about Ivan.
Thank you so much for being there when we needed you the most. You are the best.
With deepest thanks and affection.
Jack, Lynda & Dylan
Devastating news
There was a tragic accident last night. Ivan took off after a fox and was hit by a car. He died instantly.
He was a major part of our lives and we planned our time off and vacations around what we were doing with him. We loved him so much. Over time he had turned into a great dog and was a favorite everywhere we went with him.
Words can not adequately express how we feel or the depth of our loss. This is so hard to write. Ivan was everything to us.

Ivan the Therapy Dog
Today we went to Pembroke, MA where Ivan and …..now wait for it….. Jack were evaluated for suitability to become a therapy dog team.
To belong to Therapy Dogs International (TDI) all dogs must be tested and evaluated by a Certified TDI Evaluator. A dog must be a minimum of one (1) year of age and have a sound temperament. Each dog must pass a temperament evaluation for suitability to become a Therapy Dog, which is based on the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test (CGC). The test will also include the evaluation of the dog’s behavior around people with the use of some type of service equipment (walkers, crutches, etc.).
Ivan and Jack passed the test and Ivan is now a certified Therapy Dog. Ivan will need to get a photo ID from TDI and then he and Jack can start to visit Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Centers in our area.
Jack has never “shown” a dog before but really wanted to do this with Ivan.
