Lance and my debut into AKC Obedience.
Aug 4 (Beginner Novice) 198.5 points, 1st place.
Aug 5 (Beginner Novice) 198.0 points, 1st place.
I was very proud of his work in the ring and can’t wait to see if we can carry those type of scores into the CD class.

Mr. Lance and I went to Chicago and entered the Lincolnwood Training Club Inc., for GSDs (they had a combined TD and TDX test).
Mr. Lance wants to let you know that he is now a “TDX” boy. Here’s our picture for you viewing pleasure – I’m smiling still.
Judges were Pam German and Donna Kircher, and track layer Kirsten. Our maps show the “boy” booked this track and did it in 14 minutes – whew, he was a gooooood boy (no wonder my legs were tired).
Wanted to share.

Current brag. Lance and I went to Canada last weekend with my friend Lisa and her English Cocker, Adam. We went to try our hand at Canadian tracking test. I am now proud to say that Lance is now a “Am/Can TD” boy. Or that’s what they tell me I can put in his title string since he now has a tracking title (TD) from both Canada and USA. Attached are pictures that were taken by the Judge, Ms. Marie-P Babin (I got her permission to share the pictures). The “trophy” picture is one of my own. Enjoy – that’s my boy!
Laura and “Lance, Am/Can TD” (course he’s still a moose to me).

On August 13th, Lance, Jean and I went to the Obedience Training Club of Greater Lansing and did AKC Rally. There, Jeannie got her last double Q for her RAE title and Lance his last leg for his RE title. All three runs with placements. And, Ms. Jeannie never NQ’d in her rally quest – yeah Jean. A nice day, though no air conditioning and it was 92 degrees.
Attached is a picture of Jeannie with Judge Charles McMillan (not one of our best shots) and a picture of her doing agility a few years back (well more than a few, but I love the shot). And, I am proud to say, that I also retired Ms. Jeannie from competition and told her she could be a couch potato. For being a “rescue GSD” and one that due to over vacination has had many health issues, I am proud of Jeannie. She is retiring with 48 titles to her name and a couple of certificates. (this is Jean’s brag really). She’s still very healthy, but I think she’s worked well for me and she can just have fun. Jeannie will be 11 years on November 1st and she’s been showing since she was 1 and 1/2 years old. I am here to say – people, you can do lots with rescue dogs! Jeannie’s official title name is . . . .
U-ACHX U-RO1 U-CD C-ATCH Lady Jeanette Vom Bear Creek (Jeannie) VCD2, RAE, OA, NAJ, AXP, AJP, NAC, NGC, NJC, ASCA-CD, RS-N, JS-N, GS-N, mHIC, CGC, TT
Here’s hoping everyone has a good week and go hug a dog.

I’ve attached a picture Bill took today of Lance and I (he’s not as good as you all are with photographs). But, the picture is of us with our groups of ribbons (4 first and 4 qualifying) that we’ve earned at our last 2 rally shows. Two from the Kalamazoo Kennel Club a while back and two this weekend at the Kalamazoo Cluster at the fairgrounds. Three of them represents our latest title RA (Rally Advance) and the fourth is his first leg in Excellent. All legs earned with first placements – he’s a good boy.
You also wanted to know his latest “name” string with all his titles. So, here it is – this latest title puts us at 41 titles. Whew! Busy, but what fun.
U-CH, U-AgII U-RO1, Alta-Tollhaus Par Four (Lance), TD, AX, AXJ, NAP, NJP, OF, RA, CTL1, CL2, NAC, NCC, TN-N, TG-N, WV-N, CSL1-F, CSL1-H, CSL1-S, RS-N, JS-N, GS-N, mHIC, OFA Hips (Normal) + Elbows (Excellent).
