Jody, It brought tears to my eyes as I looked at the pictures of your beloved Roxy and Nash. They look so happy, so content with their lives. I’m sure the times you shared together with them will stay with you for a lifetime.
It is, as Julie said, bittersweet. So many of us have endured such heartache and loss that we wonder if the pain will ever subside. Then, we open our hearts again as an Alta-Tollhaus fur-baby enters our lives. Almost overnight, with love, joyful enthusiasm, and boundless energy, our little one doesn’t allow us to dwell on the past.
Life is precious, a blessed gift that must be treasured above all things material and worldly. The time we will share with our loved ones can end suddenly, or we may have to endure the pain of watching them slowly slip away from us.
Scott and I wish you all the best with your little bundle of furry love. (AKA, “Land Shark” – don’t forget to go out and buy some bandaids!)
Jody, I’m sorry for your loss of these two beautiful kids. Our oldest is 13 yrs old and I’m still having a hard time with the loss of my Papillon. The new kids do bring so much joy and love into our lives, don’t they?
