Oh No….snow!

When we came out of dog class tonight there was at least two inches of snow on the ground. Mother Nature playing an April Fool’s joke on us. Wish we were packing our bags and heading south again!

Spring Wardrobe

Spring is here—need to find my Easter outfit.

For some reason, I just don’t think this one is me:

Well, the hat is kind of cute, but not quite the look I’m going for:

OK, now I’ve got to admit, this hat really caught my eye:

Do you think these gloves would be too warm for Spring?

Wait! Hold my ponies—who needs a wardrobe?!

A-Stamp Brags +

I have the SV reports back on Alta-Tollhaus Gavin (X Box dei Precision x Faye vom Kirschental), Alta-Tollhaus Havana, and Alta-Tollhaus Heike (Zamp Vom Thermodos x Maikali vom Kirschental) all three are A-Normal Elbows and A-Normal Hips. YEAH!!!

Alta-Tollhaus Halley has her radiographs done and are ready to send to the GSDCA-WDA after the office is relocated in April. The radiographs are sent to the GSDCA-WDA and they send them to the SV. Halley’s xrays also look good.

I just went to see if the Zuchtwert numbers were up for Gavin, Havana, and Heike and found some surprises.  The biggest is Brady – Alta-Tollhaus Epic ZW number has been lowered to 68!!!  Congratulations Michelle!  When I am shopping for stud dogs it is very hard to find a dog with a ZW number in the 80′s or lower,  many are in the 90′s or higher.  Another pleasant surprise is Maikali’s ZW number is now at 71.

The Missions.

Nuke and I headed up to the Mission Mountains this weekend. I was hoping for clear skies so I could get the mountains with what was, on Sunday, a fresh beautiful coat of white snow, but alas it was not to be. We still had a good time, romping around in between snow showers waiting for blue skies. Nuke was REALLY EXCITED that it’s warm enough for him to splash around in puddles. I stopped in at a Mennonite general store and picked up what may be my new all-time favorite snack:

Okra Chips!

Dehydrated okra chips! All the crunch and flavor with none of the disgusting okra slime!

The Mission Mountains

Hmmm, the mountains are beautiful, but they’re missing something….

There we go! Let’s zoom in, shall we?

Let's zoom in....

Lest you think Nuke is always dignified, I call this one “herp derp derp!” Getting him to stand still and look at the camera is impossible.

Nuke’s favorite activity seemed to be spotting an offensive weed underneath the water…

Pulling it out of the mud…

Tossing it up into the air….

…and then pouncing on it while airborne.

“Yeah, I’m pretty awesome.”

Living in big sky country is pretty neat, weather-wise. With mountains making their own weather whilst jutting up out of the plains, you can actually see the weather moving in.

Life is good. :)
