Puppy Class Graduation!
Nuke graduated from puppy class today!!!! He was voted Most Stubborn Dog In Class. Okay not really, but if they had votes, that would be him. All the dogs got puppy cake! Which consisted of disgusting smelling canned dog food with milkbone crumbles in a pie tin. He LOVED it and then tried to eat his plate.
You can’t read his certificate because I can’t manage a dog in my lap and a certificate and a treat to get him to look at the webcam and the shift button to turn off the “flash” all at once. :p
Next week we start a “CD prep” class, which is preparing for a novice AKC obedience title (I don’t know the first thing about any competitions so this is all new terminology to me). I just want to keep going to keep learning about his behavior and why he does what he does and how to fix problems. It’s been more educational for me than for him by far.
Lance New TDX Today!!!
Mr. Lance and I went to Chicago and entered the Lincolnwood Training Club Inc., for GSDs (they had a combined TD and TDX test).
Mr. Lance wants to let you know that he is now a “TDX” boy. Here’s our picture for you viewing pleasure – I’m smiling still.
Judges were Pam German and Donna Kircher, and track layer Kirsten. Our maps show the “boy” booked this track and did it in 14 minutes – whew, he was a gooooood boy (no wonder my legs were tired).
Wanted to share.

Another Agility Trial
This weekend was the annual Thanksgiving Cluster Dog Show in Springfield, Massachusetts. The show consists of all breed conformation, obedience, rally and agility. It is the largest show of its kind (according to them).
Dylan was entered in the agility trial on Friday and Saturday. He did very well and got a 1st place, two 2nd places and a 3rd place which included two new titles.
In between Dylan’s agility runs Ivan was able to have some play time.
AKC rules strickly forbid dogs being off leash…..!!
Attention Monica: We are pleased to report that we saw more GSD’s competing in this trial than we have ever seen.
PS: Temperatures in the mid 40′s….grass is still green!
