First tracking lesson….
On Sunday our spring type weather continued. I was meeting some friends to go tracking with my Labrador Retriever “Dylan” (Bahamian Ch. ShadowGlen’s Midnight Dylan UD, RE, MX, AXJ, OF, NAP, NJP, TDI, CGC, CC, Bah. CD, Bah. RN). Ivan (Alta-Tollhaus Ivan) begged to come along and got his first taste of tracking!
This evening we took Ivan to the vet for his second vaccines. He has doubled in weight and now weighs 30 lbs….and he is not fat…just a big boy!
Then we tried “stacking”. I know it’s not perfect… both Ivan and I have a lot to learn!

Lynda you win!!! Ana and Heike are 5 months old and I have not even thought about tracking with them!!! Man I feel like a bad mother! Good pictures and yes, not as green as Rich and Janis’ San Diego pictures but still better then Michigan. Is the stick to point to the treats on the ground?
@Julie
Yes, the stick helps the dog/pup find the treats at first and saves bending over so much! I am still learning about tracking and hope to get Dylan ready for a TD test this fall. Do you use treats on the track for your puppies when they are learning?
