Carole’s family

February 21st, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

I live with a flock of turkeys and a flying buck! It was worth sitting in wet grass this morning to get the closeups of the turkeys.

I was not expecting this buck to come flying through. The light was very low so I had to boost the ISO up to 3200 in order to get the shots. The pix could have been better, but I’m sharing them anyway.

Carole, your photos are magical! I just love every one of your turkey and deer posts! Were all these posts done with the same telephoto that you always use? Thank you as always for sharing your beautiful, unique vision.

    Thank you for the compliments.

Margot, these were shot using a Sigma 70-300mm lens. It is heavier to use, and will definitely pick up the slightest camera shake, but I prefer it for wildlife.
