Did something happen to Champ? They showed the puppy with his sire at the breeders - I wondered why he was there - I didn't realize she was a hobby breeder. That's an interesting point about the mixed breeds - they are always portrayed as hardier then pure breds. We lost both a pure bred GSD (10.5 years old)and a mixed breed (13 years old) both to horrible illnesses - that's how I came to find Julie. I love the GSD breed, and wanted the healthiest dog I could afford. I credit Julie for educating me about the importance of diet. I had no idea what a difference it can make and still feel guilt for feeding my other dogs crappy food. I just didn't know any better. We expect our Chief to live to be like 15 years old. That's not too much to ask is it? That makes me wonder, what is the averge life expectancy of an Alta Tollhaus GSD vs "regular" ones. What is the oldest ATGSD on record? Any stats on that Julie?
