A saturday project…
Posted by Liesje under Chopper
A hacksaw, $20 of PVC pipes and fittings, and one hour of work gets you a full dozen set of channel weaves.

Chopper demonstrates what NOT to do by popping out early (but it’s about having fun right?)

Liesje, these look really sweet! Good job. ! hour and $20 can not beat that. Did you get plans from someplace or just do it on your own?

I was debating making them with a bar down the center and using T connectors so I could angle the poles like weave-o-matics, but chose the channel design so she doesn’t have to step over a base. We have the same thing at our training club, so I used that mental picture as my plan.
I have 12 stick-in-the-ground weaves, but my sticks were always bending. So if you know anyone that needs 12 40″x1″ PVC weave poles (these onces are painted and have end caps), let me know!

Great idea! I’m going to build some as soon as I get my fencing and courtyard projects done. What is the diameter of the pvc pipes? I like that these can be used indoors or out. My spike poles obviously are only for the great outdoors and sometimes it’s nice to play indoors. Besides the diameter, could you give me the dimensions of the horizontals and verticals? Thanks, clever girl!
