Who washes floors in mud season?
Posted by Margot under Life is Always Good at the Good Shepherd Farm
Answer: I do! The floor has been washed twice today so I couldn’t resist documenting it. Here it is the dog museum minus its hairy rugs but with a very clean floor.

Cool! Is that room in your house or do you have a training building? I want a “dog room” someday with a rubber floor like that. Is it relatively easy to clean? Maybe my landlords will let me put that on our porch instead of the indoor/outdoor carpet (which keeps peeling up and I’m not sure how to clean).

Hi, the room is in my training building. I designed and built it myself. One wall has wire shelves on it filled with hundreds of stuffed toys for the doggies to play with. Stufficide heaven! The floor is cement so I put two layers of the flooring down. Besides vacuuming, I use a swifter and cleaning spray to clean it. It is very cushiony and keeps the floor warm and cozy. If you don’t like the bright colors, the underside is gray. Sam’s Club sells 8 two foot square tiles with edges for 20.00. They fit together like a jigsaw puzzle and can go on top of any flooring. They’re even labeled for outdoor use. They’re easily cut with an exacto blade. When I build my dream house, I am going to have one wing that will be like my training room, only bigger and just for my dogs and me to hang out in.

Awesome, I’ll see about putting it down over the carpet. I *think* the porch door opens outward, so it should work. The porch is not that big, but when it’s warm, I keep the slider open and the porch is like an extension of the living room. The animals like to lay out there.

Lies, someday you will have to visit Margot’s dog room/museum/training area. It is so cozy and welcoming you never want to leave.
