Just saw Jack Horkheimer’s weekly astronomy
bit–Sirius, the Dog Star, will rise in the southeast
on New Year’s Eve and hit its high point in the sky at
midnight–happens every year in each time zone
One of the neatest bits in the universe, so if any of
us are still awake at midnight we must remember to
check it out
As Jack always concludes, keep looking up!
