Today, I do not wish for you a tree with wrapped gifts beneath it
Today, I do not wish for you a big magnificant gift.
Today, I wish for you the gift of love.
Today, I wish for you a day of ordinary miracles.
A kindness from a stranger, a smile, a hand.
A call from an old friend.
A kind thought.
A dog at your feet.
A warm cup of tea in your hands.
A beautiful day.
Today, as I am thinking of you, I am wishing you a life of ordinary miracles.
Now off to go make that standing rib roast to enable the ordinary miracle of a happy husband.
